Cornish Gem
Key data
Stable Name: Gem
DOB: 1998
Height: 15.3hh
Cornish Gem really is royalty when it comes to event horse breeding. She is by the leading sire of event horses, Rock King, and out of a CCI**** event mare Cornish Faer, by Ben Faerie. Her immediate family is saturated with CCI**** horses and she herself competed successfully up to Novice level before her rider’s family commitments prevented her progressing further, and she was retired to stud.
Rock King is the sire of the Olympic event horse Rock Model, and sired 4 competitors at the 2008 CCI**** at Luhmuhlen. Cornish Faer was placed multiple times at Badminton & Burghley and was shortlisted for the Atlanta Olympics.
Cornish Gem has been very kindly loaned to us by Olympic Gold medallist and current British Team selector, Bridget Parker.
