Cavalier Royale x Bassompierre xx
“Cavie” is bred in the purple for eventing being by the current No.1 sire of eventers in the world, Cavalier Royale, and being out of a mare by the stunning thoroughbred Bassompierre. In addition to great breeding, she also performed herself, winning at Foxhunter level (1.20m). She has an exceptional jump, and when she was in competition work her rider has reported she jumped up to 1.85m under saddle.
Her sire Cavalier Royale is the sire of a significant number of top level eventers as well as showjumpers. He is the sire of Clayton Fredericks, Rolex CCI**** & 2008 World Cup Winner, Ben Along Time, as well as Mary King’s Olympic Team Bronze medallist, Call Again Cavalier, and her Olympic Team SIlver medallist horse, Imperial Cavalier. He is also the sire of one of Mary’s other top 4* rides, Cashel Bay.
Bassompierre himself is responsible for 2 elite eventers. David O’Connors Individual Gold medallist is by Bassompierre, and he is also the dam-sire of Pippa Funnell’s multiple CCI**** Winner Supreme Rock.
This makes Cant Touch This’s bloodlines some of the most potent in event horse breeding and coupled with her outstanding jump, we are very excited about her potential as a top class broodmare.
