Loveday is a stunning mare by the great event horse sire, Shaab, and is out of a mare by Poetic Justice – crossing 2 of the most successful sport horse lines in the UK. She evented up to Novice level (accumulating 6 BE points) and in Open Pony Club classes, but due to injuries sustained through an accident in the field caused by a low flying helicopter, she has never been able to fulfil her early potential.
Her motherline is saturated with performance horses –
- her dam produced the Advanced event mare ‘Allercombe Molly’ who in turn produced Polly Jackson’s Intermediate ride, ‘Allercombe Summertime’ (Loveday’s 3/4 sister). She also produced a full brother to ‘Allercombe Loveday’, ‘Allercombe Edition’ who was competed at Intermediate level by Lucy Weigersma.
- her grand-dam ‘Late Night Extra’ was a Grade A showjumper and competed in the Queens Cup at The Royal International Horse Show. She was the dam of ‘Straight Maid’ who won the Small Ridden Hunter at the Royal Bath & West County Show, qualifying for Wembley. She was also the grand-dam of CCI**** horse ‘Straight Point’ (clear twice around Badminton), and ‘All Black’ (2nd at Punchestown CCI*** in 1999)
- her great grand-dam ‘Little Mermaid’ was a CCI**** event mare who was placed twice at Badminton, and was a Grade A showjumper.
