Videos of Future Illusion and Future Gravitas at Hartpury Stallion Parade!

Both our licensed stallions Future Illusion and Future Gravitas appeared at Hartpury Stallion Parade on January the 4th and put on fantastic performances. Future Gravitas paraded first and showed not only his exceptional paces, and careful jump, but above all his completely unflappable temperament. Quite astounding given he’s only 3.5yrs old, had been backed for only 7 weeks and jumped a cross pole 3 times before this parade! He’d never heard music before, or a tannoy and yet was completely unphased by them. Here’s his video -

Future Illusion also made a fabulous impression, strutting his stuff showing off some of his new ‘dressage moves’, and being very happy to be in front of a crowd, which he clearly felt were there just to see him! Here’s his video -

Future Gravitas is licensed by Breeders Elite Studbook!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Future Gravitas has been licensed as a breeding stallion by the Breeders Elite Studbook. This is the 2nd homebred colt that has been successfully licensed and we are extremely excited about the genetics our latest stallion possesses.

Future Gravitas is a 3yr old bay stallion by the Young Event Horse World Champion and 3* International Eventer Grafenstolz. He is out of Juswith Genoa, the dam of Olympic Individual Silver medallist, WEG Team Gold medallist and 3 times winner of the Rolex CCI****, Winsome Adante. Future Gravitas’s other maternal half siblings include Future Genie – 2* International Eventer at 7yrs old who also Qualified for the Young Event Horse World Championships, Future Glamour – BEF Champion Event Foal in 2006, Future Gold Digger – Elite BEF Event Foal and All Time High Scoring BEF Event Foal (2005-2012), Future Gravitie – Elite BEF Event Foal and Premium Foal with the German ZfDP studbook. We believe Future Gravitas’s dam line is one of the most potent in the world for breeding eventers.

Future Gravitas was test bred last year to our mare Edna Mode (Hand in Glove x Phosph’Or) and the resulting colt foal born this year was a fantastic model who was sold at only 2 weeks old (Future Enigma). We were so pleased we immediately rebred him to Edna Mode, and in addition put our Cruising mare Cruise Aine in foal to him for 2014.

We have a Diamond Roller foal due ourselves this year out of Cruise Aine (by Cruising) who is a full sister to the Grand Prix show jumper Lahorna Cruise! Exciting times!!

Informative article about grass sickness…

Grass Sickness is a disease of horses, ponies and donkeys in which there is damage to parts of the nervous system which control involuntary functions, producing the main symptom of gut paralysis. The cause is unknown but the nature of the damage to the nervous system suggests that a type of toxin is involved. The disease occurs almost exclusively in horses with access to grass.
