About

Miss Adventure is by the thoroughbred stallion Kuwait Beach, the renowned sire of top drawer event horses including Ingrid Klimke’s Olympic horse Sleep Late. Her blue blooded breeding continues on her motherline, with her dam being by one of Sam Barr’s legendary stallions, Welton Louis, out a mare line filled with winning Point to Point mares.

Kuwait Beach was ranked 3rd by the World Breeding Federation as an event sire and consistently produces athletic, trainable horses that go on to excel in all disciplines. This comes as no surprise when you look at Kuwait himself. Neat, correct conformation is coupled with beautiful limbs and the elevated, athletic paces we are more used to seeing in modern day warmbloods.

As a racehorse he proved very tough and consistent running 13 times and, under the old H.I.S. scheme, was a winner at Newmarket of both Premiums and Super Premiums. Successful eventing progeny are in abundance. The most famous Sleep Late won individual silver in the 2000 Sydney Olympics for Germany in the 3 day event. Ritzy Pitzy, Sarnllys Helena, Mid Day Sun, High Robins and Star Turn II are all Advanced.

Consistent dressage winners include Chiltern Beech (157 pts) and Denchworth Chieftan (120 pts), while in the show ring Kuwait’s children are equally impressive. Gulf Crisis is one of the most prolific winning Small Hunters of recent years, while Khubla Khan flies the flag in the lightweights, and Mystiko, Beach Bay and Penarth Blue Steel ensure that Kuwait is well represented in the heavyweight divisions. All are county winners in their own right and regular visitors to the Horse Of The Year Show at Wembley.

Miss Adventure’s dam Welton Ballerina was bred by Olympic Medallist Tiny Clapham’s mother and competed in JRNs. Both Welton Ballerina’s dam Romany Russett, and her grand-dam Rosemary Russett won multiple point to points and are by HIS Premium Stallions.
